Regulations: An Introduction and Outline of the Rulemaking Process in California

Image: California by Nick Youngson CC By-SA 3.0 Alpha Stock Images

The goal of this class is to provide a foundation of what the California rulemaking process is, including a look at the different documents and steps in the regular rulemaking process, a quick introduction into other rulemaking processes (i.e. emergency and section 100), and tips for rule-makers, commenters, and everyone who has to work with regulations generally. Additionally, we will also look at underground regulations to try and better understand this elusive entity. Overall, you should leave with an understanding of the different parts of rulemaking, and the overall process.

This class is designed for everyone, whether you work for the state or not. Be prepared to take notes.
