The Lawyers In The Library Program offers free remote appointments with local attorneys volunteering to help library users with legal questions. Appointment times are up to 20 minutes.
To participate, library users may enter a lottery for an appointment. On weeks when the service is offered, the lottery is open Friday 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. for appointments the following Wednesday evening. Those selected to receive an appointment will be notified of their appointment time early the next week. Those not receiving an appointment may enter the lottery again when it reopens.
Lottery instructions: to enter the lottery, visit this page on the dates listed above. When the lottery is open, you will see a button to access the lottery entry form. To enter the lottery, complete and submit the online form.
Please note that library users may receive two appointments per calendar year, with one from January to June, and one from July to December.
