In this MCLE presentation, Fernando will cover his journey as a legal practitioner to priesthood, relating the potential pitfalls of simultaneously being a priest and an active member of the California State Bar.
He is a second-year novice in the Society of Jesus. Before entering the Jesuits, Fernando practiced law in Southern California for over a decade.
Attendees of this event will be enlightened on the ethical and legal responsibilities of clergy, which may not always align with an attorney’s duties, and may, in some areas, conflict.
