This one-hour presentation is intended to familiarize lawyers with little or no experience with jury selection in criminal or civil trials. Selection of a jury is one of the most important stages of a trial proceeding. Cases can be won or lost during jury selection. Come listen and learn about the art of jury selection from an experienced judge.
Judge De Alba has presided over dozens of civil and criminal cases during his tenure on the bench as well as having tried many civil and criminal cases as a lawyer. The judge is one of the few jurists in the state who is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. The discussion will offer helpful insights about selecting a jury. The program will include opportunity for questions from the attendees.
