Tyler Q. Dahl is the Founder and Managing Attorney of the Dahl Law Group. He earned his Master’s (LLM) in Tax Law and is a Certified Tax Coach. Mr. Dahl will delve into the critical topic of successor liability in business acquisitions. He will explore situations where unsuspecting buyers might inadvertently purchase liability and lawsuits. Mr. Dahl will specifically discuss the significance of conducting a thorough intellectual property and trademark assessment during mergers and acquisitions, and how failing to do so can expose buyers to unforeseen risk and liabilities. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the potential legal pitfalls in successor liability in business transactions and the importance of proactive due diligence to ensure their clients don’t end up unknowingly “buying a lawsuit.”
