This presentation will cover how and when to use demurrers and sanctions motions to challenge complaints. It will include the fundamentals of reviewing the complaint, researching the relevant issues, determining a defense strategy, determining whether there is a basis for a demurrer and whether a sanction motion is appropriate, the procedures for filing both demurrers and sanctions motions and how to coordinate their use together.
