This 1.5 hour presentation will explore the many ways trial counsel can inadvertently harm their chances for a successful appeal, as well as how to effectively preserve issues and arguments for appeal. The information is aimed at appellate practitioners and trial counsel alike. It provides fundamental information on appellate practice; in-depth information on preserving objections and requesting, crafting, and objecting to Statements of Decision; and how to deal with potential waivers of appellate arguments.
