Fred Walter, Partner and Lisa Baiocchi, Associate, from the law firm of Walter & Prince LLP in Healdsburg, CA will discuss the Cal/OSHA Appeals Board’s changes to appellate procedures. The discussion will include the new rules being enforced by Cal/OSHA, new penalties for willful and repeat violations, the new definition of a repeat violation, new industries added to the High Hazard list, and the Standards Board’s agenda for regulatory development in 2017. The emphasis will be on how to assist your clients before an inspection and, following an inspection, what factors should be considered in deciding whether to appeal or not.
In addition, Len Welsh, former Chief of Cal/OSHA, will add his insights based on his experience as a Cal/OSHA insider.
