Even if you have the wisdom of Yoda, it’s a formidable challenge to win a lawsuit based on workplace discrimination. However, the odds of winning become far better with California’s Fair Housing and Employment Act — widely known as FEHA (FEE-hah). The provisions and nuances of FEHA make it the most pro-employee legislation in the U.S. — even more favorable than Federal statutes. There’s also ample case law that has altered and shaped the FEHA landscape.

In this class, attorney David Graulich, who represents employees in workplace disputes, will explain the origins of FEHA and how California courts apply the laws today. FEHA pertains to unlawful discrimination on the job, whether based on personal characteristics or protected conduct. The class is intended for attorneys, non-attorneys and all Jedi warriors with an interest in employment law.
