About the Program:  This class will provide a brief general background about HOA living, including rights and responsibilities of owners and a legal update for lawyers and self-represented parties regarding recent legislation and case law governing California homeowners associations (HOA).

About the Speaker: Jay J. Brown is an attorney with Community Legal Advisors Inc. For over 30 years, Jay’s practice has focused on representing community associations. Jay has presented numerous educational seminars for the Bar Association of Northern San Diego County, San Diego County Bar Association, California Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) as well as educational classes for the San Diego County Law Library and several adult education programs.

MCLE: One hour of Participatory General MCLE credit. The SDLL is a State of California approved MCLE provider. We are not approved in other States. For California MCLE credit, attorneys must enter their State Bar number when registering. Attorneys from other states, enter your State Bar number and State abbreviation. For MCLE in other states, it is up to the individual attorney to work with their State Bar to verify acceptability and obtain credit.
