1-“Legal Ethics” Credit

Co-counsel relationships can exist in a variety of circumstances and can pose ethical challenges. Two Sacramento attorneys, both former members of the State Bar Committee on Professional Responsibility and Conduct, will identify some common situations in which co-counsel relationships can arise, examine ethical obligations and pitfalls that can arise with them, and describe actions that can be taken to avoid the pitfalls.

Topics of discussion will include client consent, division of responsibility, accountability, and competence.
