Kyle has a relatively unique background in that he works both as personal injury attorney and workers compensation attorney on an almost equal basis. He has been active in the community and recognized by his peers in both personal injury and workers compensation. He is not only past president of the Capital City Trial Lawyers Association which is an organization of personal injury attorneys, but is also active with the workers compensation applicants’ attorney organization , California Association of Applicant Attorneys. Kyle regularly advises both workers compensation and personal injury attorneys on the relationship of claims by injured people in both forums. Common questions include: how to handle offsets and credits from one case to another; how to negotiate liens and subrogation rights; how to save duplicative costs on experts; determine whether the workers compensation or the personal injury claim should be settled first and on what terms.
