Due to state and local health orders, the Law Library will be closed to the public.
If you have books currently checked out, those due dates will be extended and any fines accrued during this time will be waived. During our closure, you may return books in our bookdrop, located at the corner of 9th and F Streets.
Remote services are available during our closure:
Reference Librarians – Limited reference assistance may be available by phone (916- 874-6012) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Book Checkout –You can arrange for curbside pick up of library materials. You can request materials by contacting the Circulation Desk at (916) 874-8541 or email@example.com. We’ll call to schedule a pickup when your materials are ready.
Document Delivery – Need a copy of a case, article, or section of a practice guide? If we have it available electronically, we can email it to you. Submit your request online or via email firstname.lastname@example.org. This service is free during the pandemic.
Remote Database Access – Some of our vendors are offering temporary remote access to our subscription databases. See saclaw.org/remote-databases for information on setting up an account.
Civil Self-Help Center – Telephone appointments are available for all the services we normally offer by appointment, plus guardianships and name changes. To be screened for eligibility, call (916) 476-2731.
