Beginning June 29, we will be open to the public Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00.
Limited Services Available
We are starting off with limited hours and services, to allow us to better comply with state and local health and social distancing guidelines. We hope to reintroduce other services in the future.
Reference Librarians – A Reference Librarian will be available 8:30-5:00, Monday – Friday. You can stop by in person, or we may be able to provide limited assistance over the phone (916) 874-6012 or by email (email@example.com).
Book Checkout – You are welcome to visit the library to select and checkout materials. If you’d prefer, you can arrange for curbside pick up. You can request materials via the online catalog, or by contacting the Circulation Desk at (916) 874-8541 or firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll call to schedule a pickup when your materials are ready.
Document Delivery – Need a copy of a case, article, or section of a practice guide? If we have it available electronically, we can email it to you. Submit your request online or via email email@example.com. This service is free during the pandemic.
Civil Self-Help Center – Telephone appointments are available for all the services we normally offer by appointment, plus guardianships and name changes. To be screened for eligibility, call (916) 476-2731.
Computer Access – Our public computers, with access to legal research databases and word processing, are available for use.
Our COVID mitigation efforts
We have implemented measures to protect the health of our staff and patrons, and to facilitate social distancing, in accordance with state and local health orders.
Sanitizing – Staff will regularly disinfect high-touch areas around the library. Hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes are available to our patrons.
Face Coverings – Pursuant to state and local orders, all staff and patrons must wear a mask while in the library. Don’t have a mask? No problem! We have masks available at the front desk.
Social Distancing – Please remember to stay a safe distance (at least 6 feet) from other library patrons. You’ll notice we’ve installed barriers, removed seating from the library, and rearranged furniture and equipment to facilitate social distancing.
