This presentation’s focus is on how to maximize the recovery of an injured employee who may also have claims against a third party. The course will focus on choosing which case to prosecute first, which case to settle first, structuring a settlement so as to maximize recovery in both forums, minimizing costs borne by the attorneys and clients, handling offsets and credits, and subrogation and lien rights.

Mr. Tambornini will provide various case scenarios to facilitate understanding the dynamics of both forums, and even address whether pursing a claim in both forums is even appropriate.
